Back in Feb. of ought-2, an active little bird built a nest in my back door mudroom and in my desire to identify this little bird, I accidentally became a bird nerd. I have a feeder now and a birdbath and I've learned to identify a lot of birds, always on the look out for new visitors. Friends have been using me as a bird identity and info source, so I thought I'd start this blog. I will post photos of birds I see and keep counts of the types of birds I see and include interesting stories as they occur to me. Well, stories anyway.

Oh yeah, that little bird turned out to be a Carolina Wren.
